WESTBROOK, Maine(Maine News Direct) March 23, 2010—Legacy Publishing Company is pleased to announce the hire of Meagan Moughty as their new Email Marketing Manager. Formerly Vice President and Online Communications Program Manager at Citigroup and Senior Email Producer at Clear Channel Entertainment in New York City, Moughty brings extensive hands-on email marketing expertise to this position. She will help lead the company’s email marketing efforts to drive sales, improve customer retention, and increase the value proposition of Legacy’s products.

Moughty also has experience in Legacy’s area of expertise—helping teens change their behavior.

“I took a year off from the corporate world to work at a year-round wilderness camp in northern New Hampshire with at-risk and troubled teenage boys,” says Moughty. During her time at the wilderness camp, she lived in a cabin in the woods and led a group of 12 troubled boys, teaching problem-solving skills and experiential education. “That experience gives me an interesting perspective into the parent training programs we sell here at Legacy–particularly in the areas of accountability and natural consequences.”

After leaving the wilderness camp, Moughty moved to Maine and worked for Apple Computer for a year. “I thought the Portland area was a good balance between New York City and the woods. After taking a few years off from the email marketing world, I’m excited to be back.”


Originally from Darien, Connecticut, Meagan Moughty is now a resident of Gray, Maine, and will soon be moving to Westbrook, where Legacy headquarters are located. She is a graduate of Smith College.
